The AMD A520 is an entry-level chipset and supports Ryzen 3000 to Ryzen 5000 processors based on the Zen 2 and Zen 3 architectures. Unlike the AMD B550 and X570 chipsets, the A520 does not support PCIe 4.0 or overclocking. Motherboards with the A520 chipset, however, support PCIe 3.0 and offer office and home users a reliable foundation for their PC.

The GIGABYTE A520M H is an A520 motherboard in Micro-ATX format. A PCIe 3.0 x16 slot is available for graphics cards, which is directly connected to the Ryzen 3000 processor via a total of 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Two additional PCIe x1 slots are provided for expansion cards.
