The ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMDs Ryzen 7000 series processors and offers numerous features for gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 series processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and the expanded power supply, the 600 series motherboards use Socket AM5 (LGA 1718).

Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, allowing most CPU coolers for Socket AM4 to be installed on the motherboard.

The ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 offers good overclocking potential. The high-quality voltage converters with 8+2+1 virtual phases ensure a stable power supply to the CPU, ensuring high clock speeds even over extended periods. Dr.MOS allows automatic adjustment of VRM voltage and frequency modulation. Additionally, extensive VRM heat spreaders ensure cool temperatures.
