The EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Gaming has a base clock of 1,607 MHz. If necessary, it can be boosted to 1,683 MHz with a boost of GPU boost 3.0. The memory clock of the GDDR5 memory is 2.002 MHz (effectively 8.008 MHz) MHz. For NVIDIAs GPU Boost 3.0 to work as well as possible, its important that the boards electronics remain as cool as possible, so EVGA relies on an ingenious hybrid cooling solution.
A cooler is pre-installed that combines the advantages of a compact water cooling (LCS) with those of active ventilation. On the one hand, the GPU, as the main heat source, releases its waste heat via the Waterblock to the coolant, which is pumped inside a closed circuit into a 120 mm radiator with fan – so there must be a corresponding slot in the PC housing! – The cooling performance is water cooling typical very high.
On the other hand, an additional axial fan is embedded in the cowling of the cooler, which actively cools the memory modules and the voltage regulation on the PCB of the card. All in all, this concept results in a high cooling potential at a very low noise level, which also allows significantly higher cycle rates compared to the reference model. For the right look, a white LED lighting is also integrated.
EVGA offers Precision XOC software and the DG Tuner tools on its website to overclock, monitor and control the speed of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Gaming. To fully exploit the full potential of the card, you should also download and install NVIDIA or EVGA drivers at regular intervals.
GeForce GTX 1070 Ti: gaming power for VR and 4K!
The GeForce GTX 1070 Tis 8 GB video memories are connected to the GPU via a 256-bit memory interface and the built-in GP104 graphics chip has 2,432 CUDA cores, 152 texture units and 64 raster operators. The resulting computing power is 7.8 TFLOPS. Thus, the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti opens new perspectives when entering the luxury segment.
The GTX 1070 Ti Series graphics cards support DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies including NVIDIA Gameworks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX, and Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP). The latter is supported in version 4.0 and offers great advantages, in particular for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.
Thus, with SMP 4.0, a total of 16 viewports and two viewports can be rendered in one go. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also has a lower number of calculated pixels, which dramatically improves VR performance.
The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti features 4K / Ultra HD resolutions at 60 Hertz via three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0b ports, with the latter featuring HDCP 2.2 for sending and receiving encrypted signals (4K Blu-Ray / 4K streams). Alternatively, the GTX 1070 Ti has a DVI-D (dual-link) output.
