The ASUS PRIME B360M-A in detail
The ASUS PRIME B360M-A mATX motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. For plug-in and expansion cards, the board has two PCIe x1 slots.
The two M.2 slots connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes support the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD, enable a data transfer rate of almost 4 GB / s. This is about eight times faster than a SATA 6G connected SSD! Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports. A maximum of 64 GB of RAM with a clock speed of up to 2,666 MHz can be accommodated in four DDR4 DIMM slots.
The ASUS PRIME B360M-A provides two USB 3.1 ports on the I / O panel. USB 3.1 ports are twice as fast as conventional USB 3.0 ports with maximum speeds of 10 Gbps! Other peripheral devices can be connected via two USB 2.0 ports and a USB 3.0 port, which comes as a particularly thin and double-sided plug-in type C port.
There is also a DVI, D-Sub and HDMI port for image playback via the integrated graphics processor unit on the I / O panel. For the output of the on-board sound, the motherboard has three 3.5 mm jack outputs. Internal connections include a COM port, TPM, power LED and speaker header, three fan connectors, two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 headers. The mainboard also has LEDs for illumination and provides a RGB LED header for control via the ASUS Aura Sync.
