The ASRock B650 PG Lightning is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMDs Ryzen 7000 series processors and offers numerous features for gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 series processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and the enhanced power delivery, the 600 series motherboards use Socket AM5 (LGA 1718).

Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, allowing most Socket AM4 CPU coolers to be installed on the motherboard.
The ASRock B650 PG Lightning is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMDs Ryzen 7000 series processors and offers numerous features for gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 series processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and the expanded power supply, Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards.
