PHANTEKS developed the T30-120 in close cooperation with Sunon, one of the leading fan manufacturers. Both companies incorporated their many years of experience in the air and water cooling sector. The result is a high-end fan with aerodynamic optimizations and clever features.
Thanks to its high airflow and static pressure, it is ideally suited for use on radiators, but can also convince as a case fan due to its low noise emissions.
T30-120: Optimized frame design and unique LCP material
Due to its enlarged frame design with a depth of 30 mm, the T30-120 fan has 25% higher fan blades. This increase in the surface results in a significantly better airflow and an optimized ratio of volume and power. In addition, the small impeller gap of only 0.5 mm reduces air turbulence and turbulence and the associated noise emissions.
Both the frame and the rotor together with the fan blades are made of glass fiber reinforced LCP material (Liquid Crystal Polymer). Liquid crystal polymer has a significantly higher mechanical strength and temperature resistance than normal plastics. These properties ensure a reduction in vibrations, a high level of stability and a long service life.
Three fan profiles: Equipped for every application
With three different fan profiles, the T30-120 can be used in different scenarios or systems. The three modes differ in their maximum speed and make the fan interesting for performance-oriented system builders and overclockers as well as gamers or quiet-loving silent enthusiasts.
The advanced mode tickles the maximum performance out of the T30-120. With up to 3,000 rpm, this mode is ideal for extreme performance requirements such as servers, workstations or the overclocking record hunt.
The performance mode is recommended for most system configurations. Here, the T30-120 rotate at a maximum of 2,000 rpm and offer a balanced ratio of performance and noise, ideal for gaming systems of all types and performance classes.
The hybrid mode with its semi-passive operation is aimed at silent enthusiasts. If the PWM signal is below 50%, the fans stop completely. Only over 50% do they start again and rotate at a maximum of 1,200 rpm. This mode is particularly suitable for low-noise PCs such as office computers, HTPC or multimedia systems.
The high-quality three-phase motor from Sunon and the dual vapo bearing with magnetic bearings ensure smooth and quiet operation at all times. The anti-vibration pads on the frame also reduce vibrations and oscillations.
The T30-120 is connected via a 130 mm long cable with a 4-pin PWM connector. The fan cable also has a 4-pin PWM socket, which enables operation in a daisy chain. To connect several T30-120 fans, only one cable has to be connected to the mainboard. A 50 cm long extension cable is included in the scope of delivery for clean cable management and increased flexibility during installation.
