Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black: huge tower cooler in black
The workmanship of the NH-D15S chromax.black seamlessly continues the excellent quality of its predecessors. The connections of the heat pipes and fins are soldered and the edges of the plates are additionally braced. With its wider heatpipe layout and the 140mm Noctua NF-A15 chromax.black fan with PWM support for fully automatic speed control, the Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black can further improve the award-winning efficiency of the NH-D14. With these tricks, Noctua achieves particularly good stability and durability.
The NH-D15S chromax.blackcomes with a 140mm fan. In combination with the two massive cooling towers, the Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black achieves a brute cooling performance that can hardly be surpassed. A voltage adapter is also included, which significantly reduces the speed from 1,500 to 1,200 rpm and thus also the volume. The fan is connected via 4-pin PWM.
In order to quickly dissipate the waste heat away from the processor, the manufacturer has installed 6 heat pipesinstalled. The 150 mm wide cooling fins and a larger distance between the heat pipes compared to the standard D15 maximize the cooling performance. The processor cooler is suitable for RAM with a height of up to 65 mm. Due to the asymmetrical design, the cooler usually does not protrude over the top slot for expansion cards, despite its dimensions. The D15S therefore combines maximum performance at low noise levels with significantly improved memory and mainboard compatibility.
The proven mounting system SecuFirm2ensures optimum contact pressure and maximum safety on the Intel sockets 115X, 1200, 1366, 2011(-V3), 2066 and the AMD sockets AM4, AM3( due to the reliable screw connection of the cooler to the mounting plate on the back of the mainboard +), AM2(+), FM1, FM2 and FM2+. The scope of delivery also includes the Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste .
