Also, the flow benefits from the optimization measures, especially Watercool has integrated large volume exported collecting ducts during Heatkiller IV. The copper ground black acetal top and stainless steel fittings and visually very attractively designed water cooler has an impressive high-flow design, which also makes him the perfect partner for less powerful pumps.
The new cooling structure of the Water Heatkiller IV, which is offered here in the lower mid-range version Basic, comes incidentally entirely without nozzle plate. The waiver increases the passive fail-safety of the cooler, as can accumulate less debris in the cooling structure in this concept. Even with the equipment a lot has changed.
So the Heatkiller has IV Basic as well as Pro now has a comfortable Easy-mount system. After initial installation, the CPU cooler can at any time without tools on AMD motherboards with AM3 sockets (+), AM2 (+), FM2 (+), FM1, 940 or 939 dismantle or assemble. But not even necessary to remove the motherboard. The support system (which engage the original AMD backplate presupposes) thereby dictates the contact forces. Incorrect installation is thus practically almost impossible.
Friends larger connection systems will be pleased with the increased distance between the two G1 / 4-inch connection threads, which now amounts to 25 mm. Thus the Heatkiller IV Basic for AMD is compatible with all popular connection types, through to 19/13 and 16/10 mm OD / ID. The production of Heatkiller IV takes place in an ultra-modern CNC machines in the German offices from Watercool.
This product is delivered without the necessary connections and without thermal compound. These are therefore sold separately.
Note: To mount the cooler the original AMD backplate on the back of the motherboard is mandatory!
