The NB-eLoop X fans from Noiseblocker are consistently impressive; they are quiet and efficient. For the first time, Noiseblocker has also given its high-quality fans RGB lighting. This affordable bundle includes three of the fans as well as an RGB LED hub, which can be used to connect up to eight RGB LED components and control them via the mainboard.

The German company Blacknoise has been manufacturing case fans since 1998 and is known for its Black Silent Fan and Ultra Silent Fan series. However, the company was able to particularly inspire fans of silent PCs with the introduction of the Noiseblocker eLoop fans in 2012. The NB-eLoop, with its bionic base, combines impressive silent properties with excellent technology. With the NB-eLoop X fan series, Noiseblocker now offers a special design fan for case modders, design lovers and RGB LED fans.

The new X models are designed in a subtle black or white and are therefore perfect for visually enhancing PCs and at the same time improving cooling performance – without negatively affecting the noise level. The new neutral color model allows a symbiosis with any accent color, which means the fans can be combined with any case and component selection. Even the integrated RGB lighting is understated: a total of seven digitally addressable RGB LEDs are built into the hub and illuminate the transparent rotor blades and the frame from there.

Bionic fans with a unique blade shape
The most striking feature of Noiseblockers bionic fans is the unique blade shape, which makes the noise in the air flow itself quieter. At the same time, the fans concentrate the air flow. This enables a directed air flow with less scattering loss, which can offer corresponding advantages depending on the area of application and combined technology (directed air transport, airflow management, water cooling).

The technology reduces the noise emissions of the air, increases the air flow rate at the same speed on a defined area and can also save energy during operation. In addition to the bionic fan shape – which is modeled on the one found in nature – and optimized electronics, the high-tech fans can also feature other innovative innovations. These include a further developed NB-NanoSLI 2 magnetic levitation bearing from Noiseblocker with closed encapsulation to protect against dust and a new NB-EKA P3 PWM drive, which also comes from Noiseblocker.

Intensive research with funding from the Federal Ministry
The eLoop fans are based on the research results of the bionics expert Dr. Rudolf Bannasch, who developed the basic principles of the loop rotor with his research. The technology was brought to application and production readiness in the Noiseblocker development laboratory. The complex development was made possible by funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The aim of the project was to develop the quietest fans in the world.

The NB-eLoop X B12-P ARGB works in a range between 0 and 2,000 rpm thanks to the PWM function and can generate a considerable static pressure of up to 3,020 mmH2O. However, it becomes absolutely impressive when you look at the airflow, i.e. the air flow rate. An enormous 132.4 m³/h at maximum is generated here despite the low speed range. At 12 volts and full speed, the fan is still no louder than a maximum of 28.4 dB(A) – thats a top value.

– Cable management, decoupling and lighting

The NB-eLoop also has cable management: only a very short 4-pin cable is attached to the fan itself, the length of which can be varied using two adapter cables supplied. Thanks to the choice of polycarbonate material, in particular Makrolon, the chassis is also resonance-damped and comes with additional decouplers.

A total of seven digitally addressable RGB LEDs are installed in the hub, which discreetly illuminate the completely transparent fan blades. Thanks to the widely used 3-pin connector (5VDG), the fans can be easily connected directly to a correspondingly equipped mainboard or to a controller. The lighting can be controlled via ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light or GIGABYTE RGB Fusion.

RGB LED hub CPL02-E from SilverStone
With the CPL02-E, the case specialist SilverStone offers an RGB LED hub with eight connections for digitally addressable RGB accessories such as RGB LED fans and RGB LED strips. The SilverStone CPL02-E is connected to a 3-pin header on the mainboard via a connection cable (5VDG). The connected peripherals are controlled via the mainboard manufacturers software. The hub is compatible with MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync and ASUS Aura Sync.
