The Noctua U12S DX-4677 CPU air cooler in detail
Noctuas DX series CPU coolers have been the first choice for years when it comes to quiet, premium cooling solutions for Intel Xeon processors. The U12S DX-4677 has a larger, specially adapted contact area for LGA 4677.

Increased contact area
The all-copper contact area of the DX-4677 version is 70 x 56 mm, more than twice as large as that of the standard model. It was specially adapted for the oversized heat spreaders (IHS) of Intels LGA4677-based processors and enables optimal heat transfer from the CPU to the cooler base and further via the heat pipes to the cooling fins.

120mm format for excellent performance and compatibility
With five heat pipes and two of the new NF-A12x25 120 mm fans, the NH-U12S DX-4677 achieves excellent cooling performance without compromising compatibility: its moderate height of 158 mm is compact enough for most modern tower cases and With a width of 125 mm, it not only fits on many dual-socket mainboards with sockets in an east-west orientation, but also does not protrude beyond the top PCIe slot on many mainboards with sockets in a north-south orientation.

Two NF-A12x25 PWM fans
The NH-U12S DX-4677 is equipped with two of the award-winning, latest generation NF-A12x25 120mm fans. This exquisite push/pull dual configuration enables remarkable silent cooling performance considering the relatively compact design.

PWM support and Y-cable
The NF-A12x25 premium fans of the NH-U12S DX-4677 support PWM for convenient automatic speed control by the motherboard. This means that the fans can run almost silently at low loads and only turn up when it is really necessary. The included Y-cable allows both fans to be operated and controlled via a single connection.

SecuFirm2 mounting system with Intel standard parts
By integrating standard Intel parts such as the anti-tilt mechanism, Torx T30 PEEK nuts as well as the LGA4677 processor holding frames (CPU carrier frames, included with boxed CPUs, sold separately for tray CPUs), the coolers mounting system is completely compliant the Intel guidelines and follows the assembly process familiar to experienced LGA4677 users. A Torx T30 assembly tool is included.

Note: Please note that the NH-U12S DX-4677 is a dedicated version for the Intel LGA 4677 socket. Due to the custom-made, larger contact area, the cooler cannot be used on smaller bases and is not compatible with Noctuas mounting systems for these bases.
