Noctua NA-FK1 redux upgrade fan kit: for upgrading the NH-U12S redux tower cooler
With the NA-FK1 redux, the NH-U12S redux tower cooler is upgraded and thus operated in a particularly efficient push-pull setup. The cooler is expanded by the identical, pre-installed, NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fan. If only one fan is installed, then the air is either pushed or drawn through the heat sink. In a push-pull setup, the air is both pushed and pulled, creating a stronger draft and thus better heat exchange.

Thanks to the double fan configuration, the CPU is then operated at temperatures between one and three degrees Celsius cooler and is therefore ideally prepared for overclocking or frequent turbo operation. Optionally, the fan speed can be dynamically reduced via pulse width modulation (PWM) and then ensures a lower background noise while maintaining the same cooling performance compared to the single fan configuration. The low-noise adapters (L.N.A.) included in the scope of delivery are also practical. They are connected instead of the 4-pin PWM Y-cable and reduce the fan volume even further.

The attached NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fan in 120 mm format is high-performance and offers a pressure-optimized nine-blade geometry. The vortex control notches split turbulence at the trailing edge of the fan blades into several partial flows and thus distribute the noise emissions of the fan over a wide frequency spectrum. As a result, the human ear perceives the changed fan noise as much more pleasant.

The long-life oil pressure bearings with a mean time to failure (MTTF) of over 150,000 hours ensure extremely smooth running thanks to the proven hydrodynamic bearing with an additional magnet. With the help of the anti-vibration pads, vibrations are dampened and the background noise is further reduced during operation.
