The Phison controller of the NVMe SSD supports the PCIe 4.0 standard, which supports a theoretical data transfer speed of 7,000 MB/s. The MP600 Elite almost reaches the limits of what is possible with a reading speed of 7,000 MB/s. The extreme writing speed of up to 6,200 MB/s is equally impressive.

With the 3D-TLC-NAND storage technology, the individual storage chips of the SSD are stacked in a space-saving manner. The effectiveness of this efficient technology is reflected for the consumer primarily in high performance and durability. The Corsair MP600 Elite Edition NVMe SSD has a TBW (write/erase cycles) of 600 TB. This means that it will continue to perform its work uncompromisingly and reliably for many years to come.

The IOPS values (Input/Output Operations per Second) illustrate how many input and output commands an SSD can carry out per second. Here too, the Corsair MP600 Elite NVMe SSD has excellent values with 1,000,000 in 4KB read and 4KB write. The SSD supports the NVM Express protocol (NVMe for short), which is reflected in particularly low latencies and high read and write speeds.

Extremely fast NVMe SSD with passive cooler
NVMe SSDs like the Corsair MP600 Elite heat up in a very short time due to their extremely fast read and write speeds. In order to continue to ensure stable operation of the system and SSD, they normally reduce their speeds. For the consumer, this is noticeable in a significant drop in performance. To avoid this, Corsair has installed a passive heat sink on the SSD, which keeps the temperature of the SSD low and thus ensures smooth (and above all, fast) operation.
