The ASUS PRIME B840M-A is a Micro-ATX motherboard with the entry-level AMD B840 chipset and the AMD AM5 socket. It supports the Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 CPUs. While the DDR5 RAM can be overclocked, the processor cannot.

Connecting graphics cards and NVMe SSDs is supported via PCIe 4.0. Data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps are possible via USB 3.1. As the most affordable chipset in the AMD B800 series, it is suitable for office work and casual gaming.
