Only a few enclosures can accommodate up to now in the standard Thin-Mini-ITX. The Galileo T from Akasa, however, supports this form factor, which was created by Intel with in-house circuit boards (e.g., DH-61AG or DQ77KB). Since the mainboards are extremely compact and superflach manufactured, corresponding cases should of course be dimensioned as small as possible, in order not to thwart the advantages of Thin-Mini-ITX. The Galileo TU1 offers two 2.5 inch slots for internal SSDs or mobile trays despite the small size.

For the same systems, the Galileo-TU1 housing (here as an OEM version without a brand logo) was developed by Akasa, which can be used either flat or directly on VESA mounts of the monitor. Specially designed for thin-mini ITX, it is very space-saving and, above all, flat-shaped, but in addition to these purely practical aspects, it also brings a very noble look to the table or behind the monitor.
Brushed aluminum makes the black Akasa Galileo TU1 a discreet, yet stale contemporary, which also fits perfectly into any hifi landscape as an HTPC dwelling. The front is only broken by the obligatory power button, two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports as well as two status LEDs. The cover area with its likewise noble finish is detached from a slat area at the left end.
This fin structure is essential for the Noiseless concept of the Galileo TU1, because the heat of the mainboard is released passively, ie completely without the help of fans, to the environment via the slats. The two heatpipes deliver the waste heat from the processor of the Thin Mini ITX board to the slats, where they lie in two suitable profile receptacles before the cover is placed and the construction closes.
A special feature of the Galileo TU1s is the possibility of accommodating the housing in a rackmount. The form factor of the Galileo TU1 is 1U and the required front panel is here directly.
Note: A power supply is not provided in the interior, as it would considerably increase the dimensions of the housing and heat generation. Instead, a suitable external power supply must be purchased separately.
