The Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is the Lite version of the Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU Contact Frame and is manufactured using a cost-effective injection molding process. In order to achieve the necessary stability for the contact frame, a high-quality acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer with a 15 percent glass fiber content is used. The inner contour of the Lite version is identical to that of the frame milled from aluminum.

The standard Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) has contact points that are located in the middle of the elongated CPU. Due to the resulting uneven contact pressure of the processor in the socket, the surface of the Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) bulges concavely. As a result, the base plate of the CPU cooler rests mainly on the edges of the IHS, so that the thermal hotspot in the middle of the CPU is not optimally covered.

The CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT has a special inner contour to shift the contact pressure during assembly from the center of the CPU to the edges. This avoids the concave curvature of the IHS. This means that CPU coolers rest better on the processor and have a larger contact surface to dissipate the waste heat from the CPU.

Installing the contact frame is very simple and only requires a few steps. Depending on the CPU cooler and CPU used, the temperatures of the processor can be noticeably reduced.

The CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is compatible with 12th, 13th and 14th generation processors for the LGA1700 socket. In addition, the frame is compatible with CPUs whose integrated heat spreader (IHS) has not been ground down by more than 0.2 millimeters. When assembling, make sure that there are no electronic components under the frame. This is particularly important for motherboards with the mini-ITX form factor.
