The Raijintek Ophion M EVO AS Micro-ATX case in detail
The well thought-out concept of the Ophion M EVO ALS from Raijintek enables the installation of an uncompromising gaming PC despite its small dimensions: the graphics card is housed in a separate chamber behind the mainboard tray. In addition, every square centimeter in the steel interior of the Raijintek Ophion M EVO ALS is used sensibly, whereas in normal tower cases there is usually an unnecessarily large amount of free space.

Externally, the case impresses with its simple design and flawless workmanship. The anodized aluminum in black with a thickness of 2 millimeters and the chic hairline finish ensures a distinctive look. On the simple front of the Ophion M EVO ALS, in addition to the power button with the Raijintek logo, there are only two unaccompanied USB ports with an internal mainboard connection. In addition to the USB 3.0 Type A port, Raijintek has also installed a modern USB 3.0 Type C port.

The clever cooling concept is similarly spartan. The airflow occurs from bottom to top. An optional 120, 140 or even 200 mm fan on the base ensures the supply of fresh air, which is then transported out again on the lid by up to three 120 mm fans. The resulting draft cools both the main chamber with the mainboard and processor as well as the rear chamber in which the graphics card is housed. The back and lid have generous ventilation holes, while the side panels are attached to the housing with spacers using knurled screws, thus also contributing to the supply of cool air. The Ophion M EVO ALS even has enough space for two 200 mm fans or a 360 mm radiator in the lid.
Supports full-fledged high-end graphics cards thanks to the riser module
Inside, a motherboard in Mini-ITX or mATX format can be accommodated on the right side. The CPU can be kept at temperature here with a processor cooler that is a maximum of 82 millimeters high. Flat top blower coolers are completely sufficient for cooling due to the ever decreasing TDP of modern processors. Alternatively, an AiO can of course be used. The motherboards PCI Express x16 slot is redirected to the second chamber of the case via a riser cable. Graphics cards up to 410 millimeters long can be installed there.

The mini gaming system is powered by a power supply in the conventional PS/2 ATX standard, which is attached next to the mainboard. The wiring harness then protrudes upwards into the housing. An extension for the power cable leads to the corresponding plug on the back of the housing. Of course, the more compact SFX or SFX-L power supplies can also be used instead.

There is space for two 2.5-inch data storage devices directly behind the front cover. A total of up to five 2.5-inch drives or three 3.5-inch data carriers can be installed. In order to keep the inside of the stylish housing dust-free, magnetic and therefore removable filters are attached to the lid and base.
