In the dual-tower CPU cooler R1 Ultimate, Cryorig installs seven 6mm-thick heatpipes that connect the nickel-plated copper baseplate to the two towers on the heatsink. The special feature is the design of the slats of the twin-tower CPU cooler. The cooling fins of the front section are 2.4 mm apart and the rear section is only 1.8 mm apart. These different distances provide by compressed air for an optimized output air flow. Cryorig calls it the Jet Fin Acceleration System. Thus, the heated air can be derived more efficiently from the dual-tower cooler.
The two finned coolers of the respective cooling towers and the intermediate heatpipes are welded together using a special soldering process, resulting in ten percent more surface contact. The heatpipes are also offset between the two lamellas, which also ensures optimal distribution of heat.
Easy and quick to install
As an effective anti-vibration measure, four rubber dampers are embedded in the corners in each of the two XF140 fans. This dampens the vibration transmission of the fans to the slats. Cryorigs XF140 fans have an exceptionally quiet bearing, so that the noise level of the entire cooler is a quiet 41 dB (A). Its outstanding performance and efficiency make the Twin Tower Cooler suitable for processors with up to 250 watts of TDP (Thermal Design Power).
Especially clever is the easy assembly. The backplate is fixed by hand with knurled screws. Then come the support frame for the respective CPU, which is also fastened with knurled screws. The heat sink is attached with the enclosed screwdriver. Thermal grease and a cleaning cloth to remove residues is included. Mounting brackets for an optional third fan are also included.
If you register your product with Cryorig, you can extend the manufacturers warranty from three to six years.
