The be quiet! Silent Wings 4 case fans once again combine first-class cooling performance with almost inaudible operation. The fourth generation of the Silent Wing series continues the high-end claim and offers some optimizations compared to the previous models. The black Silent Wings 4 not only offer you first-class performance, but they also look very good.

Optimized design of fan and frame
The design of the black fan differs significantly from the standard design and has been perfected again compared to its predecessor. The fan blades are not smooth, but instead have grooves to optimize airflow. In addition, the distance to the frame has been reduced again in order to optimize the air pressure.

The vibration dampers on the frames can be easily changed by simply pulling them off or putting them on. They are directed forwards and backwards, allowing for a fastening that hardly transmits any vibrations. No screws are used for this, but rather rubber pins that are simply pushed into the gray fasteners. Optionally, the fans can also be screwed on.

Quiet engine for top performance
In addition, a special plain bearing made of copper is installed that has no mechanical contact with the axle and therefore works quietly and long-lasting. The rotor slides on a film of lubricant called a hydrodynamic plain bearing or FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing). This is a main reason for the claimed lifespan of 300,000 hours. A special IC controls the motor and also reduces noise.

In 12V mode, a delivery volume of 82.74 m³/h is achieved at a maximum speed of 1,600 rpm at just 18.9 dB(A), combining good cooling performance with minimal noise. In addition, a three-part voltage adapter for 12V, 7V and 5V is included, which significantly reduces the speed and volume, so that it can also be used in silent systems.
