The features of the high flow NEXT flow sensor in detail
The flow sensor high flow NEXT from aqua computer is the ultimate upgrade for water-cooled systems to improve monitoring and control. The high flow NEXT is integrated into the cooling circuit via two G1/4 inch ports. The sensor works in both directions, so you dont have to worry about the flow direction. The high flow NEXT delivers reliable measured values at a flow rate between 35 l/h and 1,000 l/h. The connection to the mainboard is made via USB.

The flow rate is measured via an integrated rotor. The coolant flowing through drives it and the rotational speed is recorded by a magnetic measuring system. Two sensors ensure that the flow is recorded and, in conjunction with the intelligent evaluation, deliver exact results. Due to the non-contact detection and the calibrated bearing play, the flow meter only generates a minimal running noise. Preset calibration curves enable precise measurement and are preset for different coolants.

Coolant quality and temperature sensors
In addition to the flow, the high flow NEXT also measures the coolant temperature and the electrical conductivity of the coolant. Over time, the anti-corrosion effect of the coolant can decrease. This can lead to corrosion on coolers and deposits in the system. In the worst case, these can even result in the failure of the system. By measuring the conductivity, the high flow NEXT determines the quality of the coolant and gives you the opportunity to intervene before the system is damaged.

Integrated control, OLED display and RGBpx lighting
The high flow NEXT can be configured conveniently and directly on the device via the built-in OLED display and the three buttons. The display shows the desired measurements as values or graphics. All settings can be freely selected, saved and displayed.

The high flow NEXT has a total of ten integrated RGBpx LEDs. When delivered, these act as a flow indicator. The flow sensor can also control up to 90 addressable LEDs via its RGBpx output. Of course, the lighting can be configured with different colors and effects in the aquasuite software. The AMBIENTpx effect is impressive. This enables synchronization of the screen content with the RGB LEDs, which ensures atmospheric lighting.

Note: Data from the high flow NEXT can be transmitted to a connected aquaero 5/6 via the aquabus interface. As an alternative to the USB interface, power can also be supplied via the aquabus interface – in this case, however, the RGBpx functionality is not available.

Wasnt sure why anyone would want one of these, so I had a look into it and was sold after seeing the coolant quality, temperature and flow sensors. Also has a built in alarm which can be set to activate at defined times.Links up seamlessly with Aquasuite software (while also sharing the same motherboard USB header as my Quadro). Very happy with my purchase.
