Enterprise Solution?
Alphacool offers special water cooling products for servers and workstations in the B2B and Enterprise Solution areas. Here, of course, great importance is placed on safety. Three factors were therefore particularly important for the quick release coupling: a secure closure, high tensile strength and a particularly low weight.
Compact plug-in closure?
Usual quick release fasteners usually have a diameter of well over 24 mm. This Alphacool quick release fastener only has a diameter of 20 mm. This makes it one of the thinnest quick release fasteners for water cooling on the market. To close the quick release fastener, it simply has to be pushed together. To open it again, a small ring is pulled back. This causes the quick release fastener to pop open. The water loss is minimal and consists of only 1-2 small drops.
Nylon as a material?
Instead of making the connections out of brass as usual, they were made from nylon especially for the Enterprise Solutions product range. In water-cooled servers and workstations, the components naturally have to be easy and quick to replace. Therefore, all components are equipped with quick-release fasteners. Due to the high packing density in modern servers, the quick-release fastener is made of highly stable nylon. They are therefore non-conductive and cannot cause any short circuits. Nylon is also an ultra-light material, which makes it very easy to use.
Flow and seal
In servers and workstations with multiple processors and graphics cards, many components have to be equipped with quick-release fasteners. With conventional quick-release fasteners, narrow water channels ensure high resistance. With these quick-release fasteners, which were specially developed for such solutions, the water flow is of course optimized to keep resistance as low as possible. As with all Alphacool quick-release fasteners, this version also uses a double seal to ensure maximum tightness and thus maximum safety. To further increase safety, a locking clip is also included, which prevents the quick-release fastener from being opened accidentally. The release clip also makes it easier to open the quick release if necessary.
Light, extremely slim, high security and the non-conductive material are the basic properties of this quick release, which was specially developed for industry and servers.
