Details

The company, which develops in Germany and produces in Asia, can boast a huge range of high-quality CPU coolers, which are especially known for their performance. With the Black Ridge, Alpenföhn has not just created another compact low-profile radiator. The original design of the Black Ridge comes from Daniel Hansen, who needed a compact CPU cooler for use in his DAN cases.

The features of the Alpenföhn Black Ridge at a glance:
– Special design with fan on the bottom of the heatsink
– 92 mm PWM fan with exceptionally low volume
– 6 x 6 mm copper heatpipes
– Slim heat sink with aluminum fins
– Suitable for almost all current AMD and Intel CPUs
– Special cooling design for quiet and efficient operation

Where there is enough space in the case, nothing speaks against an overpowering cooler monster, which also keeps maximally high-clocked quad-core or six-core CPUs in uncomplicated temperature ranges on the hottest days of the year. But when it comes to efficient, compact enclosures with a micro-ATX or even mini-ITX core, such as the DAN Case or the Kolinks Rocket, other qualities are required, such as high cooling performance and particularly quiet operation.

The basic construction corresponds to the top blow design, which is characterized by the possibility of a lower overall height. Alpenföhn has managed to accommodate the 92-millimeter fan not on the top, but on the bottom of the radiator. Obviously, this reduces the overall height to just 47 millimeters. At the same time, the extraordinary design reduces noise generation.

High quality materials, high quality fan
Six copper heatpipes, each with a diameter of six millimeters, transfer the waste heat of the copper floor, which is in direct contact with the CPU, to the fins of the large-area heat sink, which are made of aluminum. Underneath, RAM bars of up to 33 millimeters in height can be accommodated. If you use low VLP (Very Low Profile) RAM instead, you can also replace the 92mm fan with a 120, covering the entire surface of the heatsink. It can also be attached to the top of the cooler, which in turn creates more memory and more cooling efficiency.

The 92mm fan delivers exceptional high efficiency for its size. With up to 2,800 revolutions, it creates an airflow of more than 80 m³ / h, more than enough to cope with the power loss of a CPU of 95 watts TDP and still remain very quiet at 37.6 dB (A) , Not for nothing has Alpenföhn ensured that the Black Ridge is compatible with all current Intel and AMD sockets. Completely in black, makes the CPU cooler even visually a special impression.
