The TG GPU Guard is a highly compressible foam gasket designed for the graphics chips (GPUs) of graphics cards. It protects electronic components when using liquid metal or other electrically conductive thermal interface materials and simultaneously extends the lifespan of the liquid metal. When the cooler is mounted, the pressing force completely fills the height difference between the PCB and the cooler with the foam gasket, preventing liquid metals (or other thermal pastes) from flowing onto other components on the PCB. Additionally, the foam gasket prevents oxygen from reaching the liquid metal, which increases its durability. The TG GPU Guard is gallium-resistant.
The NVIDIA variant includes three gaskets each for the graphics chips of the GeForce RTX 5090, GeForce RTX 5080, and GeForce RTX 4090. For easy application, the gaskets are delivered on a transfer film. The TG GPU Guard can also be used for graphics chips with similar dimensions (dimensions can be found in the image gallery). However, there should be 1-2mm of space between the GPU and the TG GPU Guard.
