The Ultra II SanDisk Ultra Plus replaces its predecessor and delivers tremendous performance for a narrow Taler. The two-layered memory architecture of the Ultra II SSD is controlled by a proven 88SS9190 Marvell controller and provides significantly better performance in terms of write performance. A mix of reliable TLC NAND from Toshiba (19-nm process), makes the nCache 2.0 feature not only for faster throughput, but also for a power-saving operation. Because the cheaper TLC memory wear usually faster than MLC memory, SanDisk drives with nCache technology on the other hand, relieving the memory cell. As a result, increases the data throughput and therefore the lifetime of the cells.
 
The modern SATA 6G interface allows in this 240 GB version of the Ultra II fast data transfer speeds of 550 MB / s read and 500 MB / s, which gives the user absolute delay-free work or play. When 4KB random read the SanDisk is 91,000 IOPS fast and running into someone write 4KB files there are 80,000 IOPS.
 
Thanks not movable components the Ultra II remains in operation particularly quiet and cool even under heavy loads. Especially in laptops is thus distinguished from an extended battery life, which is of course a direct positive effect on the life of the whole notebooks.
 
Based on the SanDisk SSD Dashboard, the user can read off what performance provides the drive and which firmware updates are available. The software also gives useful advice to get the performance capacity of the SSD upright.
