With its wider heat pipe layout and two premium NF-A15 140mm fans with PWM support for fully automatic speed control, the NH-D15 can further improve the multi-award-winning efficiency of the NH-D14. With these tricks, Noctua achieves particularly good stability and durability.
The NH-D15 houses two 140 mm fans, which combined achieve a very high airflow. In combination with the two cooling towers, the NH-D15 achieves a brute cooling capacity that can hardly be surpassed. In addition, a voltage adapter is included for each fan, which significantly reduces the speed from 1,500 to 1,200 rpm and thus also the volume. The fans are connected via 4-pin PWM.
In order to adequately supply the two cooling towers with the processors waste heat, the manufacturer Noctua has installed six heat pipes, which quickly dissipate the power loss from the heat source. In addition, the cooling fins have been extended from 140 to 150 mm and the distance between the heat pipes has been increased.
This special edition of the Noctua NH-D15 only comes with mounting material for mounting the CPU cooler on motherboards with AMDs socket AM4 , which was launched in 2017 with the AMD Ryzenâ„¢ desktop processors. Due to the changed hole spacing on the motherboards retention module, the fastening materials included here are not compatible with the previous AMD sockets 754, 939, 940, FM1, FM2, FM2+, AM2, AM2+, AM3 and AM3+ or Intel sockets ! The scope of delivery also includes the NT-H1 thermal paste.
