Kolink KLM-002: The compact housing for schools and offices
With a height or width of just 9.5 centimeters, the Kolink KLM-002 is extremely compact and, depending on the space requirement, can be placed horizontally or, with the help of a stand included in the scope of delivery, upright. This makes the KLM-002 particularly suitable for use in rooms with numerous workplaces, for example in schools or in open-plan offices. Despite the compact dimensions, the KLM-002 can accommodate a lot of hardware.
The housing can accommodate motherboards with a Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX form factor. There is hardly any space for a graphics card at a height of 9.5 centimeters; the case is designed more for the use of processors with an integrated graphics unit. Alternatively, a low-profile GPU with a maximum length of around 150 millimeters can be installed.
Plenty of space for drives, designed for space-saving SFX power supplies
Ventilation grilles on the back, on the sides and on the lid ensure sufficient air supply, which is pre-fanned by the pre-installed 80 mm fan. There is space for a total of three 2.5-inch drives, alternatively a 3.5-inch and a 2.5-inch drive can be accommodated. A space-saving SFX power supply (NEKL-004, NEKL-005, NEKL-006) can be accommodated on the side, which points downwards when the case is vertical. Then an angled IEC connector (NEDE-027) should be used, the cable is led through the base to the rear.
The appearance of the KLM-002 is not neglected despite the functional design. The front has a brushed aluminum look. There you will also find the I / O panel, which is equipped with one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. There are also two 3.5 jack plugs for headphones and microphone. The power switch is installed on the side of the bevel of the front cover.
