With its Hybrid -Spezialversionen of GeForce graphics cards EVGA presented for some time a very strong alternative cooler for many NVIDIA graphics card types that convinces both in terms of looks as well as his good and especially quiet cooling results. Hybrid means here that the main heat source – the GPU – is cooled with water, the other components – graphics memory and power supply – however, with air, because here does not arise so much waste heat. This allows for a similarly good cooling capacity as a full cover cooler including associated water cooling at a fraction of the price, and this solution is also much easier to integrate them into a PC system.
The GPU cooler with integrated pump is now so flat that the card despite water cooling only two slots are occupied. Otherwise, the cooler is the reference cooler not dissimilar – at a very slim, smart housing still sits a large radial fan that sits in the back of the card and conveyed the warm air directly through the slot bracket outward. In order for this cooling variant is also ideally suited for multi-GPU setups, a corresponding number provided for mounting the radiator.
The metallic black plate, called the baseplate, on top of the graphics card PCB is taken from the original cooler.
