Akasas Maxwell Pro case is designed for mini-ITX boards. Specially tailored to the aforementioned Mini-ITX boards, it is very space-saving and, above all, has a flat design, but in addition to these purely practical aspects, it also brings a very elegant look to the table. The specialty of the case is the elegant look and the well thought-out cooling concept.
The Maxwell Pro relies on completely passive cooling of the processor. For this purpose, the two lateral outer edges are completely provided with aluminum cooling fins and the CPU comes into direct contact with the housing via heat pipes. The waste heat from the CPU is released into the surrounding air via the large cooling fins on the sides of the Maxwell Pro. Since the case itself acts as a CPU cooler, it works completely without a fan. This means that the Mini-ITX system in the Akasa Maxwell Pro works completely silently.
A front made of brushed aluminum makes the black Akasa Maxwell Pro a restrained yet stylish contemporary, which also fits inconspicuously into any hi-fi landscape as an HTPC housing. The front is only broken by four USB port openings and the on / off switch. In addition to the recess for the mainboard I / O panel, there are cut-outs for two WLAN antennas, the connection for an external power supply, two serial ports and a Kensington lock on the back.
