Fans with 4-pin PWM connectors are very popular as they enable efficient fan regulation, but are not always easy to operate, especially when used with older mainboards or fan controls. The reason for this is the lack of suitable connections or the usually only small number of PWM connections.
The remedy is the PWM distribution cable from Akasa, with which three PWM fans can be connected to just one PWM socket. In addition to the function as a distribution cable for a single PWM signal, three ordinary 3-pin fans can also be connected to it without any problems. The cable is about 30 cm long and the individual strands are covered with a black sleeve.
So that there is always enough energy available for all connected fans and the PWM socket of the mainboard is not overloaded, there is also a SATA power connection that can be connected to the power supply. Incidentally, the PWM signal can only be read out for a connected fan.
