With the Enterprise Series, Seagate is targeting professional users who run applications with very large data volumes. So its no wonder the enterprise hard drives have a storage capacity of up to 2 terabytes.
This six terabytes of enterprise-scale version (2 TB = 2,000 GB) offered here is designed specifically for continuous operation. High performance is provided by two processors, as well as a ramp load, a motor attached to the top of the hard drive for optimal performance in all enclosures
The enterprise of Seagate allows the reliable storage of large quantities – even on unstructured data – with great capacity, without sacrificing performance. According to the manufacturer, the near-line performance with 550 TB per year is ten times higher than with desktop hard disks.
