With the BarraCuda Pro, Seagate presents an extremely versatile and reliable HDD storage medium that offers an enormous amount of space for all types of files. The data carrier is typically used for high-performance desktop applications, gaming and applications of creative professional groups. The multi-tier caching technology is also particularly useful, which allows applications and files to be loaded faster than ever before by the HDD. Responsible for this are intelligent NAND flash levels, DRAM and media cache technologies that optimize data flow and improve read and write performance.
The data transfer rate of this 8 TB version of the BarraCuda Pro is a maximum of 220 MB / s. Even the fastest drives have problems with it. The BarraCuda Pro achieves this dream value at a speed of 7,200 rpm. The cache is also very large with a rich 256 megabytes.
With 220 MB / s the limit of the SATA 2 connection is also not far away, the SATA 6G installed here offers not only the advantage of a higher bandwidth.
