Intels new Extreme processors: the Broadwell-E series for high-end users
A more advanced manufacturing technology over Haswell and Devils Canyon was not the only difference between the Broadwell processors to the previous models. The performance per clock is increased by optimizing the architecture. This allowed for a higher performance and a considerably lower power consumption.
The Extreme processors fifth generation also benefit from the advanced 14-nm process technology, the normal Broadwell CPUs. It is this manufacturing process enables up to ten cores accommodate on one die. Thanks to hyper-threading can be handled by the top model so the same 20 threads!
Broadwell-E: Extreme CPU with Wi-Multi for maximum performance!
