The fans have 4-pin PWM connectors and are controlled directly via the included fan hub. The fans remain relatively smooth in spite of their high performance.

Powerful PWM fan with RGB LED lighting
The Aerocool P7-F12 LED fans are high-performance PWM fans that feature smart details such as integrated vibration dampers and easy-to-remove fan blades. The fans achieve a good contact pressure with low noise emissions of only 14.5 dB (A) at 1,01 mm H2O at 1,200 rpm by means of aerodynamically shaped blade ends, which are equipped with small fins. The extremely stylish LED lighting makes the transparent fan blades shine in 16.8 million color shades in combination with the hub included here or directly from the mainboard. The Project7 software can also control many details of the lighting as well as the fan speed. Anti-vibration dampers are used in the corners, which effectively decouple the P7-F12 fans acoustically.
The P7-H1 fan hub included in this set allows the control of up to five 4-pin or 3-pin fans, all of which can be controlled with regard to lighting and power via the appropriate software. In addition to the fans, two RGB LED strips can be connected, which should increase the lighting possibilities. As an alternative to the hub, however, the fans can also be directly controlled via a compatible motherboard with ASUS AurA, Gigabyte RGB Fusion or MSI Mystic Light Sync support.
