Compared to the cooler division, the small but fine case section is still somewhat in the background, yet Zalman also shines here with a very high-quality appearance and high functionality. The white Midi-Tower Z3 impresses with rounded edges. A black front cover provides a good airflow due to its mesh structure. The side panel has a window that gives the case a stylish look. In addition, the surface is dull, which ensures that fingerprints are largely avoided. Furthermore, the outer casing is white to the front and made of plastic, while the interior is made of black steel. The rubber feet provide a decoupling effect and thus less volume in operation.
The housing offers plenty of room for ventilation and a large interior space. For example, two 5.25-inch external drives and four 3.5-inch internal drives fit into the drive bay. In this one can of course also install 2.5-inch drives with an adapter. The cage also includes a hot-swap bay. A 2.5-inch drive can also be mounted directly on the drive cage. The installation should run without tools according to the manufacturer.
The spacious interior also features sanded edges to help prevent injury, as well as space for up to 360mm of graphics card and seven expansion slots. There is also a hole in the housing wall for mounting a CPU cooler without removing the motherboard. An integrated bottom filter prevents dust from being absorbed by the power supply.
In total, you can install five 120 mm fans in the housing. Four fans are already pre-installed. Two 120mm fans are in the lid, another on the back and a 120mm LED fan on the front. At the front another 120 mm fan can be installed. The power supply is located at the back of the floor and is surrounded by a vent at the bottom and an opening at the back, which optimally ensures the heat dissipation of the power supply.
The I / O panel is located on the front cover and features a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, audio jacks and a system fan control. Behind the panel is a tray where you can place smartphones or external hard drives while connected to the PC.
