With the luxury Big-Tower Primo, the Dutch presented not only the first representatives of their Enthoo series, but also her first computer case at all. The Phanteks Enthoo Primo could convince away with his distinctively elegant design, the mass features and its overwhelming support for internal water cooling from the spot, but still remained a prohibitive hardware treasure for many.
It therefore followed the favorable Enthoo offshoot called Luxe and Pro in mid-tower format. By Enthoo Evolv Phanteks presented the first housing in a compact format before and was so many Small Form Factor fans the opportunity to finally known Phanteks-quality and unique aesthetics with the currently popular trend towards smaller systems based on micro ATX or Mini-ITX Motherboards match. The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv and its smaller offshoot Evolv ITX came so well that now follows the third variant: the Evolv ATX, which is slightly larger than the original model and standard ATX and with limitations even larger boards in the E- ATX format can hold (up to 264 mm width).
As for the classic and timeless, yet sophisticated design, is at first glance clear that the Enthoo Evolv has stood for the Evolv ATX Pate, only the dimensions and the position of the I / O panels were changed – the latter is like itself the ITX version under a small flap at the top at the front. The body inside is made of black painted steel, the removable front panel, the cover and both side panels are made of 3 mm thick solid aluminum, which is anodised silver here. The side walls, one of which has left a large viewing windows are hinged at the rear of the housing and can easily be opened – when closing it raced just by pressing slightly. Down in the front sits a narrow strip of light, which lights up when switched on – the color can be varied by different LEDs supplied. Air intakes for cooling have been discreetly integrated into the gaps between the aluminum panels in order not to disturb the minimalist look.
Here are waiting behind the front panel, two factory installed black 140 mm fan on the use and on the rear is an additional black 140s fan mounted. Front and PSU slot in the base are equipped with removable dust filters. The fan assembly can hereby be increased in the lid and behind the front panel up to two 140- or even three 120-mm fans. Alternatively, also according to each a 280- or 360-mm-heat exchangers are installed, which can be installed in the cover on a side pull-out bracket. This clashes with the inserted RAM modules can be prevented when installing a Radis – including contributing to the fans and, where appropriate, the radiator is not mounted centrally but offset to the left, which is the maximum space available between the motherboard and fan / radiator. At the back of the installation of a radiator of size is analogous to the fan assembly also 120 or 140 mm possible – overall a very strong ventilation and also a lot of space for water cooling components.
The power supply unit, which is mounted in the housing bottom and is decoupled from the ventilation hardware, sitting under a black metal cover, which makes the interior look very tidy and behind the front in this area also has two drive bays for 2,5 or 3, 5-inch disk provides. At this point, however, the supplied anti-vibration pump bracket can be mounted as an alternative. If this is installed in conjunction with a larger reservoir or behind the front a radiator is used, can be removed from the horizontal separation of a portion of its part but also provides for mounting a pump and reservoir. Here there are so many different ways, drives and accommodate water cooling. Also directly behind the front there is the possibility to accommodate more 3,5- or 2,5-inch drives using the three supplied trays – the trays are screwed here with the motherboard support. Other two drives can be fitted with optional trays.
On the back of Mainboardtrays where stately 35 mm space to invite to ordinary cable laying, a PWM fan hub is already installed, the the automatically controlled operation of up to eight 3-pin fans via a single 4-pin PWM connector the motherboard allows. Here Furthermore, two 2.5-inch bracket with Drop-n-Lock mechanism for two small 2.5-inch Drive available, another of this type can be front mounted laterally at the power supply cover.
