The Skycontroller as docking station for tablet or smartphone provides a realistic flight experience with additional control functions and is equipped with a reinforced WLAN radio with lower latencies and four antennas with high signal amplification, so that the reception range of the Bebop drone of about 300 m to a maximum of 2 km will be expanded. The Skycontroller makes the air so that more secure and improves the stable Wi-Fi connection even at great distances, the possibilities for stunning long-haul flights.
A control tablet or smartphone can be attached by means of a holder that can accommodate most commercially available mobile devices, but is not absolutely necessary, because the Skycontroller can also be used by line of sight. However, the Skycontroller offers such a significant increase in comfort while taxes thanks to the two high-precision joystick and live video transmission. The joypad top right allows you to control the shooting angle of the camera in a 180 degrees field. On top of that there is the possibility, the Skycontroller for an even immersiveres Flugerlebnis via HDMI connection with an FPV goggles (First Person View) to join.
The Bebop Drone with Skycontroller is controlled with the free app Free Flight 3.0 for tablets and smartphones. Free Flight 3.0 is available for iOS and Android. The app is very simple and intuitive to use. On the home page, the pilot access to basic functions: control, photos / videos, schedule, Cloud and the Pilot Academy. Free Flight 3.0 also offers a full menu of settings: speed, maximum height, control mode (accelerometer, virtual joystick).
The supplied collapsible sun visor with shoulder strap prevents annoying sun reflections on the screen of the control tablets or smartphones. Included with the Skycontrollers are for a long flight experience also three batteries and a charger and a dock adapter for other tablet models. The Skycontroller uses the same type of battery as the Bebop drone itself.
