Pump, fan & cooling performance
Like its direct predecessor, the NZXT Kraken X62 also relies on a slightly enlarged dual radiator made of aluminum in 280 mm format. The cooling capacity and the resulting volume are controlled not only by the fan speed of the supplied 140-millimeter fans, but also by the motor speed of the pump, which can be between 1,000 and 2,800 rpm. As usual, the pump is integrated into the CPU cooling block, which rests with its copper surface on the AMD or Intel processor.
NZXT uses two of its modern Aer-P fans in a 140-millimeter format to cool the radiator. Thanks to the angled air inlet and outlet openings as well as the so-called winglet fan blades, the air resistance is minimized and the fan output and the static pressure are amplified. This results in the PWM fans delivering an excellent cooling performance of up to 166.79 m³ / h. Due to the fluid dynamics bearings made of copper, Aer-P fans have an extended service life of more than six years. They also ensure uniform lubrication, which significantly reduces the noise level during operation.
The connection of the pump to the mainboard is made by USB, while the fans are connected directly to the pump as usual.
Infinity mirrors, LED lighting & CAM software
Regarding design, NZXT has come up with something very special. On the back of the cooling block is a stylish LED lighting with infinity mirror, which creates a fantastic effect. With this lighting, it is possible to illuminate the NZXT lettering as well as the circular LED strip in different colors and effects, depending on the users preferences and preferences, which leaves a lot to be desired on the mainboard.
With the CAM software, NZXT even gives the user the ability to customize the pump and fan performance itself. So if you want to balance the balance between cooling and loudness, or between pump and fan speeds, instead of trusting in the out-of-the-box settings, the KRAKEN X62 has the opportunity to do so. In addition, current water and core temperature are also given here, and it is even possible to switch between different profiles.
Compatibility & manufacturing guarantee
If the already mentioned points have not yet convinced the NZXT Kraken X62, the X62 is not only very cool and relatively quiet, it is also highly compatible with all modern sockets of AMD and Intel and Is very easy to install. Furthermore, it is noticeable that the closed water circuit does not have to be serviced, of course, and the entire water cooling system is also fitted into some smaller housings, which do not have space for towering cooling fans.
The Kraken X62 is pre-filled and delivered with already applied thermal grease on the CPU contact surface. Thanks to 40 cm long hoses, the radiator can be flexibly positioned in two adjacent 140 mm fan slots in the housing.
