The GeForce GTX Titan Z offered here by MSI NVIDIA wrestles again all hardware connoisseurs and PC enthusiasts sheer enthusiasm from – coupled perhaps with a bit of disbelief. For the GTX Titan Z is nothing short of a combination of two of the most powerful graphics cards in the world on the same PCB! Two GK110 GPUs in its most expanded, as they are individually inserted on the Titan Black, to work at the GTX Titan Z hand in hand, connected by a bridge chip. This means a total of 5,760 CUDA cores, ie twice the number of stream processors of the single-chip model.

The two Kepler-heart overclock at the MSI GeForce GTX Titan Z with 705 MHz in the Elementary and thanks to GPU Boost 2.0 automatically accelerated to about 876 MHz when sufficient reserves in power consumption and heat generation permit and an application uses this power demands at all. Because even for the current graphic intensive game titles, it would be difficult to force the Titan Z in the knee – and that goes for maximum graphic details in the 4K Ultra HD resolution or the game representation across multiple monitors away!

A weighty part to the enormous rendering performance – even at high resolutions – contributes to the graphics memory of the GTX Titan Z: The GDDR5 RAM is an incredible total of 12,288 MB in size, each GPU can draw on their own 6GB. The memory interface is thus about 768 bits, what a crazy memory bandwidth of 670 GB / s, taken together with the high clock of 3500 (effective 7000) MHz. Despite all these superlatives, the MSI GeForce GTX Titan Z requires no more than two 8-pin PCIe connectors from the PSU to flex its muscles. The colder it remains, the better they will do this.

For this reason, MSI uses this model to three slots high NVIDIA reference layout, which is an optical and technical genius. Quiet, cool, chic! An axial fan sitting here centered on the chrome-plated aluminum housing. Directly under the fan is the SLI bridge chip, which is responsible for the coordination of the two GPUs. The air flows through to his left and right each have their own Coilblock per graphics chip and escapes on the front and back of the card. Of course not missing the GTX Titan Z of green glowing during operation GEFORCE GTX lettering.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX thrilled at the Titan Z also by other measures such as Adaptive Vertical Sync, the exclusive Kantenglättungsmodi FXAA and TXAA, support for PCI Express 3.0, the dedicated video engine NVENC the opportunity to SLI (with a total of four GPUs!) And 3D vision (surround) or the built-in driver software tool GEFORCE EXPERIENCE. This is possible without much trial and error, by comparison with a massive database, perfect settings for each computer on every game!

In order to realize the full potential of the card in the future, new drivers from NVIDIA or MSI should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
