The EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SSC Gaming ACX 3.0 has a base clock of 1,607 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0, it can be boosted to a boost clock of 1,835 MHz if required. The memory clock is 4,004 MHz (effectively 8,008 MHz). For the cooling of the graphics card the Active Cooling Xtreme in the third generation is used.
The ACX 3.0 layout features two redesigned axial fans with optimized swept fan blades, double ball bearings and low-power motors. Thanks to the dual-fan design and open construction on all sides, the resulting waste heat can be delivered even better, so that the cooler works very quietly. Thanks to the low power consumption in idle and in 2D mode, this graphics card switches off its fans completely, as long as a certain temperature is not exceeded.
The white LED illumination of the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SSC Gaming ACX 3.0 can be switched off via GeForce Experience. The graphics card is powered by an 8-pin PCIe power plug.

The GTX 1060s 3 GB of GDDR5 video memories are connected to the GPU via a 192-bit memory interface, resulting in a memory bandwidth of 192 GB / s. The GP106 graphics chip has 1,152 shader units, called NVIDIA CUDA cores.
The GTX-1060 graphics card series supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies including NVIDIA Ansel, Gameworks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX, and Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP). SMP 4.0 offers great advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.
Thanks to SMP 4.0, Pascal supports 16 simultaneous viewports that allow a much more realistic display on multiple monitors or curved displays. In particular, gambling in Virtual Reality (VR) benefits from the new technology, as it can render two viewports in one go. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also has a lower number of calculated pixels.
The GeForce GTX 1060 operates with a TDP of only 120 watts and it is recommended to use a power supply with a minimum power of 400 watts. The GeForce GTX 1060 has an HDMI 2.0b port, three DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and a dual-link DVI output. The HDMI port supports HDCP 2.2 and can send and receive encrypted signals.
In order to realize the full potential of the card in the future, new drivers from NVIDIA or EVGA should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
