The models of the B3 series are available in several power stages, all of which fulfill the requirements of 80Plus bronze and thus achieve at least 85% efficiency at medium load. Compared to older bronze power supplies, EVGA offers, above all, improved voltage regulation, a completely modular cable management and the intelligent ECO Thermal Control System, which makes the high-quality LongLife Sleeve Bearing fan in the 130 mm format extremely quiet.
Thanks to the DC-DC downconversion, the + 3.3 and + 5 volt voltage are independently regulated, which in particular improves the suitability for asymmetrical loads, which are almost permanent in modern systems. Thus EVGA B3 power supplies are also officially suitable for the modern Intel platforms according to Haswell. At the same time, this results in the full availability of the rated power as a + 12 volt voltage, if the situation so requires. For example, the graphics card and processor can access up to 748.8 watts with the offered 750 watt model. Thus, the total nominal power can also be used by real systems.
EVGA also relies on quality: On the main board, exclusively electrolytic capacitors of Japanese brands are used, whose quality control is considered particularly strict.
