Besides having the Silent Base 800 a very attractive design – in this version even has a smart large acrylic window to make the built-in hardware is optically to their best advantage. The closed front is held flat and appear in a matt black design. It shall be bordered on each side of ventilation openings each having a orange frame. When you open the front cover, the drive-panel come to the fore, covering the three slots for 5.25-inch drives.
Inside the housing there is furthermore enough space for seven 3.5-inch drives and four 2.5-inch drives. The drives are doing without tools installed in two hard drive cages, which are both completely decoupled via silicone anti-vibration rails, so that the transmission of vibration is prevented in the cages.
The midi tower takes motherboards in the ATX form factor, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX into itself. Anyone who wants to install a CPU cooler, can easily do thanks to the recessed cut-out in the side wall, however, should consider the maximum height of 170 mm. Graphics cards can be installed in the seven expansion slots and may be 290 mm long. If you build the middle hard disk cage, 400 mm long graphics cards can even be installed.
Three fans are installed in Silent Base 800. Two 140 mm Pure-Wings-2 fan with 1000 U / min are mounted in the front. A 120 mm large-Pure Wings-2-fan is installed in the back. These can be installed in the bottom two 140s or 120s in the cover and a 140-mm or 120-mm fan. In addition, removable dust filter are integrated in the front and in the soil.
The targeted combination of unique airflow supply and sound absorbing materials on the front and the side parts of the Silent base 800 a first-class housing, ideal for high-end gaming and silent systems. The innovative design of the side panels, the housing cover and the housing base ensures perfect air circulation and reduces turbulence, which ensures outstanding cooling performance with lower fan speed and for whisper-quiet operation.
But even water cooling radiators can be installed instead of the fan. In the front and in the back can attach each a 140 mm large radiator, while the lid may even take up to a 280 mm radiator.
An excellent cable management is ensured by four silicone openings and plenty of space behind the motherboard wall. The power supply unit is installed below and can be up to 160 mm long. The I / O panel located on the cover and has a large, elegant power switch, two audio jacks, two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.
