The ASUS ROG Aura Terminal provides reactive RGB lighting behind the monitor for unprecedented immersion in games. When connected to the three included addressable LED strips, the integrated graphics processor analyzes the signals that the graphics card sends to the monitor and projects the appropriate lighting effects to the wall behind the monitor.

With digitally addressable RGB LEDs, significantly more complex lighting effects are possible. This feature is exploited by the ROG Aura Terminal and uses its discrete graphics processor to analyze the signals from the graphics card and visualize them via the connected LED strips. The included LED strips are taped to the back of the monitor, creating a halo effect on the wall behind.
In total, LED strips with a total of 210 LEDs or 4.2 meters in length can be connected to the four channels of the terminal. The Halo software also supports multiple Aura terminals and monitors. In addition, the lighting effects can be configured as usual via the ASUS Aura Sync software and synchronized with other RGB components. The terminal can be accommodated on a free 2.5-inch slot and has a RGB-illuminated logo. The terminal can be operated externally via a free USB port or internally via a free USB header.
