Noise blocker NB-eLoop X: Bionic loop fan with subtle RGB lighting
Noiseblocker NB-eLoop X FanThe German company Blacknoise has been producing case fans since 1998 and is known for its Black Silent Fan and Ultra Silent Fan series. However, with the introduction of the Noiseblocker eLoop fans in 2012, the company was able to particularly inspire fans of silent PCs. Because the NB-eLoop, with its bionic base, has combined impressive silent properties with excellent technology. With the NB-eLoop X fan series, Noiseblocker now offers a special design fan for case modders, design lovers and RGB LED fans.

The new X models are designed in subtle black or white and are therefore perfect for visually enhancing PCs and at the same time improving cooling performance - without negatively affecting the background noise. With the new neutral color model, symbiosis with any accent color is possible, meaning the fans can be combined with any housing and component selection. Even the integrated RGB lighting is reserved: a total of seven digitally addressable RGB LEDs are installed in the hub and from there illuminate the transparent rotor blades and the frame.

Bionic fans with unique blade shape
The most striking feature of Noiseblocker's bionic fans is the unique blade shape, which makes the noise in the airflow itself quieter. At the same time, the fans concentrate the air flow. This enables a directed air flow with less wastage during use, which can offer corresponding advantages depending on the area of application and the combined technology (directed air transport, airflow management, water cooling).

The technology reduces the noise emissions of the air, increases the air flow rate at the same speed over a defined area and also enables energy savings to be achieved during operation. In addition to the bionic (i.e. modeled on the fan shape that occurs in nature) and optimized electronics, the high-tech fans can also have other innovative innovations. This includes a further developed NanoSLI bearing (version 2) from Noiseblocker and a closed encapsulation to protect against dust.


Intensive research with funding from the Federal Ministry
The eLoop fans are based on the research results of bionics expert Dr. Rudolf Bannasch, whose research developed the basic principles of the loop rotor. The technology was brought to application and production maturity in Noiseblocker's development laboratory. The complex development was made possible through funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The aim of the project was to develop the “quietest fans in the world”.

Energy and noise efficient
Thanks to the PWM function, the present NB-eLoop However, it becomes absolutely impressive when you look at the airflow, i.e. the air delivery capacity. An enormous 186 m³/h at maximum is generated here despite the low speed range. At 12 volts and full speed, the fan is still no louder than a maximum of 29.6 dB(A) - that's a top value.

Cable management, decoupling and lighting
The NB-eLoop also has cable management: There is only a very short 4-pin cable attached to the fan itself, the length of which can be varied using the two adapter cables supplied. Thanks to the choice of polycarbonate material, specifically Makrolon, the chassis is also resonance-damped and comes with additional decouplers in the scope of delivery.

A total of seven digitally addressable RGB LEDs are installed in the hub, which subtly illuminate the completely transparent fan blades. Thanks to the widely used 3-pin connector (5VDG), the fans can easily be connected directly to an appropriately equipped mainboard or controller. The lighting can be controlled via ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light or GIGABYTE RGB Fusion.
