The Jonsbo D40 Midi Tower comes with a simple yet very chic design. Thanks to the materials used, the exterior is reserved and yet striking.

On closer inspection, however, it becomes apparent that the D40 is not just a normal midi tower. The typical arrangement of the components has been changed. This not only creates a different design, but also unusual cooling options.

Vertical airflow for best cooling results
By moving the power supply from its traditional place at the bottom of the case to the front, you have a whole new way to cool your components. The main supply of fresh air is no longer on the front, but on the bottom of the case. This ensures an unhindered vertical airflow, which makes use of the laws of physics and thus also transports the heated exhaust air out of the housing via a chimney effect.

There is space for three 120mm or two 140mm fans on the bottom to supply your system with fresh air. There is space for two 120mm or two 140mm fans on the top and a 120mm fan on the back.

If you decide to use the radiator, you can place a 120 or a 240 radiator both on the base and on the top. An additional 120 mm radiator is possible on the back. So you have enough options to cool your components appropriately.

Enough space for air cooler
Graphics cards are coming with bigger and bigger coolers and that's why it's important that you have enough space in your case. Graphics cards with a length of up to 355 mm can be accommodated in the D40. Hardware is becoming more and more power hungry. The power supply units, which can also deliver this power, require a correspondingly large amount of space. The D40 offers you space for a maximum of 280 mm long power supplies. If your power supply is longer than 170 mm, there is still 305 mm of space for the graphics card.

If you prefer to use air cooling, you don't have to worry about this either. The D40 offers enough space for CPU air coolers with a maximum height of 168 mm. This means that most coolers find their way into your case and reliably keep the temperatures in your system in check.

Lots of storage
A total of three mounting locations for 2.5-inch and one space for 3.5-inch data carriers or a total of four for 2.5-inch data carriers are available for pronounced data collectors. Mounting locations are at the front of the power supply bay, at the back of the bay, and under the power supply.

Tidy I/O panel and high-quality materials
The I/O panel is on the front. It gives you a power button, a USB 3.0 Type-A port, another Type-C port, and a 3.5mm HD audio and microphone combo port.

The main feature of the D40 is definitely its unobtrusive design. The front consists entirely of a matt aluminum alloy. The left side panel is made of tempered glass. It gives you a good view of your internal components. Ventilation slots can only be seen on the top. Feet made of milled aluminum round off the restrained design perfectly.
