Details

The micro (B) USB plug has a trapezoidal shape in contrast to the micro A. The cable thus represents the connection between a power-hungry external device with a micro-USB connection and the PC. The twisted-pair construction helps prevent data overlapping and enables error-free transmission. Gold-plated copper contact pins also support this goal. It is even backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. But USB 3.0 supports data rates up to 5 Gb/s.
