The SteelSeries Apex 5 recognizes up to 24 keys at the same time and is therefore ideal for action-packed games and fast typing. It is equipped with hybrid switches from SteelSeries. These are rubber dome switches with a tactile pressure point and click noise that are compatible with keycaps with MX stems. The key switches are designed for intensive use of 20 million keystrokes.

The full-size keyboard offers an integrated numeric keypad and additional multimedia controls such as the clickable metal scroll wheel. The black plastic housing of the SteelSeries Apex 5 is adorned with a top shell made of aircraft aluminum.
RGB lighting, OLED display and ease of use
All keys are equipped with individually configurable RGB lighting, so that each key can be assigned its own color via software. The white key labeling is translucent. In addition, the Apex 5 has a small OLED display that shows information about music playing, Discord chat, the game being played, system information or simply the manufacturer's logo.

Thanks to the fold-out feet, the angle of the keyboard can be changed. The rubber coating ensures that the keyboard has a firm footing on the table. SteelSeries includes a magnetic wrist rest, increasing ease of use during long periods of use. The keyboard is connected to the PC via a permanently connected USB cable.
