Scythe Kotetsu Mark II CPU cooler [SCKTT-2000]

The Scythe Kotetsu has always proven itself as a low-cost and powerful cooler and has now been revised with the Mark II version. This time, attention was paid to the volume and an optimized 120 mm fan was used. The new asymmetric design offers more space for memory with large coolers, and pedestal compatibility has also been expanded.

The Scythe Kotetsu Mark II in detail:

Unlike its predecessor, the Scythe Kotetsu has a slightly different design. The asymmetrically arranged heat sink was displaced both to the rear and to the side. As a result, the Kotetsu Mark II is one of the first coolers to offer a particularly long distance from the first PCI Express slot, as well as excellent compatibility with memory modules with high heat sinks. An optimized production process significantly increased the cooling capacity. In addition, the revised radiator offers nickel-plated copper heatpipes and a nickel-plated copper bottom plate.

The contact points of the four heatpipes were sensibly distributed to the large aluminum heat sink and, together with eight risers, provide a high heat transfer capacity. The package includes a 120 mm fan. If necessary, another can be installed. The required brackets are included in the scope of delivery. The enclosed fan is a PWC model from the Kaze Flex range from Scythe with a very wide control range from 300 to 1,200 rpm. Thus, the Kotetsu Mark II from Ultra-Silent to overclocking is prepared for every purpose, finally it generates at minimum speed just 4 dB (A) and transported in at maximum speed almost 86.93 m³ / h.

The mounting kit provides very high compatibility for AMD (AM2 (+), AM3 (+), AM4, FM1, FM2 (+)) and Intel processors (775, 115x, 1366, 2011 (-V3), 2066). In addition, with its sturdy screw connection, it guarantees a secure fit of the cooler even during transport. Thermal grease and installation instructions are also included. The low total height of 154 millimeters and the total weight of 645 grams make the Kotetsu Mark II a versatile all-rounder that fits in just about every case.
