Design & hard glass side windows in Asterion Classic
Incentive and also self-complaint with the Asterion Classic Midi-Tower, it was quite obvious to design a full-fledged housing, which integrates perfectly as a multimedia center or gaming PC integrated into its environment. Raijintek used a high-quality aluminum chassis, which in this version has a silver coating and looks particularly classy with the "brushed" look.
The case also has two large, tinted, hard-glass side windows, located on the right and left sides of the case, for an excellent view of the installed hardware. The glass panes give the whole case a very noble look and present the hardware in showcase style.
Air or water cooling in Asterion Classic
An active airflow is provided by a 120 mm fan pre-installed on the rear, which is supported by two additional 120 mm fans in the front. This creates excellent airflow, which can also reliably cool down potent gaming hardware. All three built-in fans have a white, ring-shaped LED light that looks particularly chic. However, the midi tower offers enough space to expand the air cooling to a total of seven 120 mm fans. In addition, the 120-series fans located on the front and the cover can be replaced by 140 mm models.
Thanks to the relatively large size of the Midi tower, effective water cooling can also be used. The front and lid offer sufficient space for a maximum of 360 mm radiators. Raijintek renounces typical drive shafts or brackets and banned the data carriers under or on the PSU-Shroud. This means that there is sufficient space for a custom water cooling to be accommodated in the housing.
Good design and plenty of space for gaming hardware
The interior of the almost 10.4 kg Asterion Classic proves to be pleasantly spacious, because besides the main board in the form factor E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX can also powerful ATX power supplies, pixelboliden up to 34 cm length as well as CPU Coolers up to 18 cm in height.
The interior divides into two chambers and is thermally separated by a subtle cover, which leads to a more efficient cooling of the main components. Three 2.5-inch and three 3.5-inch disks can be installed, the latter can also be replaced by 2.5-inch drives. Altogether enough space for huge data storage. Especially useful is the increased space available behind the mainboard tray for easy cable management.
The usability of Raijintek in the Asterion Classic has been very high, because the dust filter is easy to remove and can also be cleaned easily. In addition, the Asterion is equipped with mainboard spacers and has a large cutout in the tray for uncomplicated cooler change. The front panel I / O panel has four USB 3.0 ports and two HD audio connectors.
