The MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC is a motherboard in ATX format and has a fast PCI Express 3.0 slot with full x16 connection, one with x8 connection and another x4 PCI Express 2.0 slot for graphics cards -connection. The four RAM banks accommodate up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory with a clock rate of up to 2,933 megahertz and can even handle clock rates of up to 3,600 MHz via OC.

The Socket AM4 motherboard provides two M.2 slots with PCIe connectivity. M.2 SSDs connected via four PCI Express 3.0 lanes, in conjunction with the NVM Express Advanced Protocol (NVMe), support data transfer rates of up to 32 Gbps, up to eight times faster than SATA-6G HDDs.

The MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC I / O panel has a Type-3.1 USB 3.1 connector. The new USB type C port is very thin and can be plugged in on both sides. USB 3.1 or USB 3.1 Gen 2 achieves maximum speeds of 10 Gbps per port, and USB ports with this standard support the quick-charge function of smartphones and tablets.

A special feature is the integrated RGB Mystic lighting, which allows customizable RGB lighting effects at several lighting zones and can be controlled via software. For control and automatic synchronization of additional RBG lighting, the MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC has two headers for static and one for addressable RGB elements.
