Optical audio signals are transmitted at approx. 20 Mbit / s via the TOSLINK connection. A particular advantage of this connection is that it is insensitive to electrical and magnetic interference. Furthermore, disruptive ground loops are avoided by the electrical isolation of the device components. It is therefore ideal for the interference-free transmission of audio signals.

This TOSLINK audio cable from InLine is 2 m long and suitable for connecting devices that are close together. This avoids unnecessary cable clutter. As usual, it has a male TOSLINK connector at both ends. At their ends, plastic protective caps are attached to secure them during transport. These can continue to be used if necessary and then protect the contacts from dust and possible damage.
