As a nomenclature successor to the GeForce GTX 970, the GTX 1070 can compete with the GeForce GTX Titan X after the first benchmark results! The INNO3D GeForce GTX 1070 iChill X3 uses a semi-passive cooler design with three axial fans, which enables the card to operate completely silently.

INNO3D GeForce GTX 1070 iChill X3 with triple fan cooler with semi-passive mode
The INNO3D GeForce GTX 1070 iChill X3 has a base clock of 1620 MHz. If required, it can be boosted to a boost clock of 1,822 MHz via GPU-Boost 3.0. The memory clock of the GDDR5 memory is 2.002 MHz (effectively 8.008 MHz) MHz. In the 2.5-slot high iChill X3 cooler, the heat is transferred from the GPU via heat pipes directly into aluminum fins. The card is stabilized with a backplate and delivered with a BIOS version that completely shuts off the fans at idle and under low load, allowing for semi-passive operation.

INNO3D offers on its website with TuneIT OC Utility a tool that overclocks the GeForce GTX 1070 iChill X3. In order to realize the full potential of the card, you should also periodically download and install NVIDIA or INNO3D drivers.

GeForce GTX 1070: gaming power for VR and 4K!
The GeForce GTX 1070's 8 GB video memories are connected to the GPU via a 256-bit memory interface and the built-in GP104 graphics chip has 1,920 CUDA cores, 120 texture units and 64 raster operators. The resulting computing power is 6.46 TFLOPS. Thus, the GeForce GTX 1070 opens new perspectives when entering the luxury segment.

The GTX 1070 Series graphics cards support DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies including NVIDIA Gameworks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX, and Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP). The latter is supported in version 4.0 and offers great advantages, in particular for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thus, with SMP 4.0, a total of 16 viewports and two viewports can be rendered in one go. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image will also have a lower number of pixels calculated, dramatically improving VR performance.

The GeForce GTX 1070 has 4K / Ultra HD resolutions at 60 Hertz and three DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b ports, with the latter featuring HDCP 2.2 for sending and receiving encrypted signals ( 4K Blu-Ray / 4K streams). Alternatively, the GTX 1070 has a DVI-D (dual-link) output.
